Contract Notes:
"Serf" means player has no bargaining power and will be paid the MLB minimum of $480,000 or close to it. For 2012, anyone signed for under $550,000 is listed as "serf." Many players are signed to "split" contracts that pro-rate one amount for time spent in the Majors and a lesser amount while in the minors.

Arbitration eligibility and free agent status are dependent on service time accrued in the Majors. Bonuses are not included in salary figures.

Michael Young has $15 million of deferred salary.

Ian Kinsler's 2013 is a club option with an $0.5 million buyout.

Scott Feldman's $9.25 million 2013 salary contains an $0.6 million team buyout.

Adrian Beltre's 2016 is voidable if he fails to reach 600 PAs in 2015 or 1,200 across 2014-2015.

Josh Hamilton also earns $1.5 million in 2012 as a signing bonus.

Joe Nathan's 2014 is a club option with an $0.75 million buyout.

Yu Darvish receives $0.8 million for each season not on disabled list (bonus pro-rated downward if disabled).

Derek Holland's contract includes a 2017-2018 team options at $11 million ($1.5mm buyout each year)
